Another Law of Attraction exmaple. I was sitting here letting my thoughts run free enjoying a cup of tea and thought I'd give the game a try :)
So here I go! Here's the book closest to me. Lets see the Law of Attraction at work!
Here it is!
"The 100 Simple Secrets of Successful People" by David Niven, Ph.D
"I knew if I had proper training, I'd be in great shape for the rest of my life"
Namaste!
Chris,
Ok I am totally blown away, the first book I picked up was 9 steps to financial freedom and on the page 32, 4th sentence was about believing no matter what there is enough money and I am financially free, to believe it keep saying it and more all in one very long sentence.
The amazing thing is I have been trying all day to shift my emotions my feelings to believing there is enough and I am going to be ok, to move out of my stuckness. This is so very funny.
Thank you for sending this out today right this moment.
I had this book on the shelf but have not read it yet but it was the closest book to me.
Too funny you have to love the truth when it hits you square in the face.
Enthusiastically,
BarBara Whorley
Hi Chris,
The book is 'The Story of Irish Film' (which I'm using as a reference just now). Don't know if this is 'cheating', but Page 32 is a full-page photograph and the caption reads: "The dramatic seaweed gathering scene from the film 'Man of Aran'!
On the opposite page - page 33 - the 4th. sentence reads: "It has secured a place in the history of cinema as one of the greatest documentaries of all time".
Wonder if it's referring to 'The Secret'? :-)
Interesting that we both have a 'cinematic' quote!
Cheers!

The Civil War ByGeoffre C> Ward with Ric and Ken Burns
"He is a clever man, and not so bad looking as they say, while he is no great geauty."
Ok the quote in mine is suppose to read beauty instead of geauty. And I don't even read this book, and have never looked in it before. But it was humorous to read that. Thanks.
You asked for it!!
From David Deida's "The Way of The Superior Man - A Spiritual Guide to Mastering the Challenges of Women, Work, and Sexual Desire"
(Also good for those women of Deliberate Creation...) ;)
Page 32, 4th Sentence:
"It is the same with the world."

P.S. -
Chris - you would like this book... ;)
Oh My God!
Page 32 was missing!!!!
LOLOLOL!!!!!!!
I guess that must mean I get to choose it myself!!!!
So I openned my email and the next thing I found was PERFECT!!!
When you focus upon the beauty of something, ONLY,
and you activate the beauty of it within YOU
so that it and you are one vibration,
it doesn't matter how much it costs
and it doesn't matter how much money you have.
That's a non-issue, that's irrelevant,
because there's nothing in YOU
that isn't a match to IT.
Ooo that was big.
Abraham-Hicks
I loved it!!!
Thanks, Chris! :-}
Well mine is a picture & only has 2 lines of text:
The picture is of Buddha & the text says:
"Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, in the Earth-Witnessing Mudra."

Awake at Work by Michael Carroll
Chris your such a fun guy!
Thresholds Of The Mind, Bill Harris
On page 32, sentence number 4 reads:
"To do this, a part of the brain called the olivary nucleus creates what is called a beat pattern in the brain, corresponding in frequency to the difference between the two tones."

Oh, this is fun!
The very closest book was a phone book, but there was no sentence on page 32! However, the 4th name down was Berry, N of Claremont.
Next closest book is my son's Warcraft Reign of Chaos - Official Battle Chest Guide.
4th sentence down on page 32 is:
"While it's not essential to destroy every last Undead structure, it is still a good idea because of the experience it affords both Arthas and Jaina."
Hmmmmm.
So you picked up "Ask and it is Given" also Marcy :)
My copy arrived today, so I guess ill just open it up and:-
Your emotions provide a wonderful guidance system for you. and if you will pay attention to them, you will be able to guide yourself to anything you desire

Page 32 line 4 of Home With God by Neale Donald Walsh:
This Life ends when you have completed what you came here to the physical world to experience this time.
I have a little chat with the Jehovahs Witness' when they call around.Today they called and we had a chat on the doorstop. They're friendly people and they don't push anything onto me, so I give them the time of day and am open minded with them.
Today they left me a book titled: What Does The Bible Really Teach?
As it happens, that book was the closest to me (on my desk) when I read your post Chris. On page 32 sentence 4 the sentence says:
"Would that offer have been a temptation to Jesus if Satan was not the ruler of these kingdoms?"
The start of the book was so interesting, and I actually looked earlier for an online version so I could post about it here. The first few pages felt the same as when I first read 'Ask and it is Given.'It told how they believe the word God is but a title, the actual name is Jehovah (I never knew that's where the name came from, cool!) and that you can't see Jehovah but you can get in touch with him. This all reminded me of the higher self and getting in touch with your inner being, ie: You can't alway see how things are coming together, but trust that they are.
The book also mentions how Jehovah really wants the best for you and will work so that you can have what you want, he promises that it will all be good and he will deliver it.Sound familiar? hehe, yeah it's like "Your wish is my command!" It just stresses, perhaps in differing words, but it's message is how well being is at our bases and that abundance should abound. And for that reason it resonated with me very much.It also talks about how we may not understand but it's ok to be humble and receive without knowing how it's coming. We can ask and we will be answered. It's stressing how the way will be shown to us kind of thing. That helped immensely! and put me at ease so much.
I have to say now that the first 20 pages in this little book propelled me to be a master allower, so very profound the words where.I felt totally at ease knowing that "Jehovah" only wants the best for me and so I should be open to receive it.
However I will just make a quick note that the book started to fall apart for me after page 20 because it started getting way too specific, saying what you should and shouldn't do.So I quickly glanced through the next 200 pages and got the vibe that it was contrary to LOA, ie: "lets stop this! let's stop that! let's stop violence!" kind of vibe. It's an absolute tragedy that the book goes that way, starts veering into specifics and concentrates on what it bad and pushes against that. That turns me off so fast, yet I was open enough in the first place to see what the book was about. And so those first 20 pages were just awesome and I actually felt myself coming into line with my higher self completely at one, I could sense that connecton.Felt at one and so eager to create and was brought into total allowing mode, totally at peace.I'm not like this at all but it's almost enough to make one weep that such wisdom is lost because people aren't open to it because of the specifics and misunderstandings that have been added on.I'm just so very grateful that I was open to it and received it and used it.And I'm so very grateful that I live in these times where we can mine the wisdom and look to what it really meant, and leave the stuff that doesn't work.
I cannot recommend those first 20 pages at least, enough! I'm searching for the book to see if it's online, and when I find it I will post a link here.
Who knows maybe from now on I'll start calling the 'Infinite Intelligence' "Jehovah!"
Cheers!
ok ok...my first book was the dreamer's dictionary..hahahahahha
it said colors and then on opposite column words: 'ties ahead, but if you'
first thing that comes to me is the rainbow..all ties ahead just like we are all connected from spirit as one...but if you...my words are: 'forget then we lose the rainbow and the beauty and end up with one color at a time missing the essence = the beauty'
" So you picked up "Ask and it is Given" also Marcy :) "
